This policy describes how you can delete your Restro IT account and what happens to your data after deletion, in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. How to Delete Your Account
You can request account deletion through:
- Dashboard: Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Email: Send a request from your registered email to support@restroit.com with subject “Account Deletion Request”
2. What Happens After a Deletion Request

| Immediately | Dashboard locked; no new orders can be received |
| Within 24 hours | Confirmation email sent with data export option |
| Days 1–30 | 30-day grace period: account can be reactivated by contacting support |
| Day 30 | All menu data, order history (beyond legal retention), and personal data permanently deleted |
| Ongoing | Billing records retained for 8 years per GST / tax law requirements |
3. Data Export Before Deletion
Before deleting your account, you may request a full export of your data including:
- Menu items and categories
- Order history
- Customer data (limited to what you collected via the Platform)
- GST invoices
Request an export by emailing support@restroit.com. We will deliver the export within 5 business days in CSV/JSON format.
4. Subscription and Refunds on Deletion
Deleting your account does not automatically trigger a refund. Please review our Refund & Cancellation Policy for applicable refund terms. If you have an active annual subscription, contact us before requesting deletion to discuss options.
5. Reactivation
During the 30-day grace period, you can reactivate your account by contacting support@restroit.com. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
6. DPDPA Compliance
Account deletion requests are processed in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Data that must be retained for legal or regulatory reasons (tax records, audit logs) will be retained for the minimum required period and then deleted.
